Blue is ‘it’

These images reference  an old street game – sometimes called ‘tag’ – where  one of the players tries to avoid being touched by another member of the group who then becomes  ‘it’ in turn. There are no rules and no defined teams.

This piece is part 3 of the ‘R,G,B’ series. As in the other 2 pieces most of the visual content is created by the shadows and reflections of forms moving out of view of the virtual camera.
It the title references an old street game – sometimes called ‘tag’ – where one of the players tries to avoid being toutched by others in the group so that the toutcher then become ‘it’. There are no rules and no actual teams.
Ideally the three parts should be shown together as a three screen projection or serially
As with all my recent animated work I made both the visual and sound components.
The original is 1920 x 1080HD but this version is compressed and reduduced in size in order be streamed in vimeo

In this series two semi solid forms, either static or moving, interact with forms – which are seen or are ‘out of frame’ – hovering above a reflective surface. If the forms are not directly seen their shadows or refections indicate their presence on the surface below.

Whilst, ideally, all 7 images  should be seen exhibited contiguously they can be veiwed as a separate images.
